Cookie Policy
Last updated: January 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how LedgerHub Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("LedgerHub", "we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website or use our web application at ledgerhub.cloud. By continuing to use our site, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners. Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot carry viruses or install software on your device.
2. Cookies We Use
We use three categories of cookies on our website and application:
2.1 Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the website and application to function correctly. Without them, core features such as logging in, maintaining your session, and accessing your account data would not work. You cannot opt out of essential cookies while using LedgerHub.
- Session cookie: keeps you authenticated between page loads so you do not need to log in repeatedly during a single browsing session.
- CSRF token cookie: protects your account from cross-site request forgery attacks by ensuring form submissions originate from our own site.
- Security cookie: stores a short-lived token used to validate your identity when performing sensitive actions such as changing your password or updating billing details.
Essential cookies are session-scoped or short-lived (typically expiring within 24 hours or when you close your browser) and do not track you across other websites.
2.2 Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website — which pages are most popular, how users navigate through the product, and where they may encounter difficulties. This helps us improve the user experience and prioritise product development.
- _ga: registers a unique ID used to generate statistical data on how you use the website. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_[ID]: used by Google Analytics 4 to persist session state. Expires after 2 years.
- _gid: registers a unique ID used to generate statistical data on how you use the website. Expires after 24 hours.
Google Analytics data is aggregated and anonymised. We have enabled IP anonymisation so that your full IP address is never stored by Google. You may opt out of analytics cookies at any time — see Section 4 below.
2.3 Preference Cookies
These cookies remember your settings and personalisation choices so you do not have to re-configure them each time you visit.
- ui_theme: stores your selected colour theme (light or dark mode). Expires after 1 year.
- locale_pref: remembers your preferred language and regional date/number format. Expires after 1 year.
- dashboard_layout: remembers the column arrangement and widget configuration of your dashboard. Expires after 6 months.
3. Third-Party Cookies
The only third-party cookies placed on our site are those set by Google Analytics (described in Section 2.2 above). Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not use advertising networks, retargeting pixels, social media trackers, or any other third-party tracking technologies. We do not allow third parties to place cookies on our site for their own commercial purposes.
4. How to Manage and Disable Cookies
You have several options for controlling cookies:
- Browser settings: most modern browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through the privacy or settings menu. Instructions for common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
- Google Analytics opt-out: you can prevent Google Analytics from tracking your browsing by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Do Not Track: if you enable the "Do Not Track" signal in your browser, we will honour it by disabling analytics cookie collection for your session.
Important: disabling or deleting essential cookies will affect the functionality of LedgerHub. You will be unable to remain logged in, and some features of the application may not work correctly. Preference cookies can be disabled without affecting core functionality, though your settings will not be remembered between sessions.
5. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our use of cookies or applicable law. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to check this page periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
